Maybe a New Bike is in Order

Haiphong--attempt to fix bike failed. Lesson #3: Never rent a bike from a conman's friend. Solution, rent another bike from the new hotel & head to Cat Ba Island. And we were off on a huge barge, motobike in tow. Along the way we got to take in some great scenery as huge limestone karst emerged from the sea. When we arrived in Cat Ba town we relished in our immediate exit off the barge and avoidance of all the hustling joes as we sped off on our wheels. Cat Ba is a cool, chill town, with not much to do and even slower this time of year as it is the off season. Needless to say that allowed us to get a primetime hotel room on the top floor with our own patio for 5 bucks. Now we are living like kings!
