Dear Folks:

After receiving a couple of concerned e-mails regarding our situation in Vietnam given the Japanese disaster, everything here, in a word, is good. It wasn't until we received Tom Denson's e-mail that we learned about the earthquake. Vietnamese TV news is devoid of any earthquake coverage. I should note that there isn't much love to lose between Vietnam and Japan. First there was the invasion and then the forced labor and then the starvation.... You get the picture.

We'll check the news services today regarding Indonesia as that is our last stop in May. Other than that it is a rare sunny day in Hue which we intend to fully enjoy. Our prayers go out to those fellow travelers less fortunate in light of what has happened in Japan.

God Bless,

Mike and Karen
