The Vietnamese are noisy! Everyday here we've been woken up by revving bikes and beeping cars. This morning however was an exception....it was dance music and bad karaoke at 8am (yes karaoke at 8am!!). Think it may have been a wedding party... Anyhoo at about 13:30 our bus (well a guy on a motorbike that we were instructed to follow to the bus) to Hue picked us up. The bus was soon filled to capacity with locals and with the pathetic air con it was rather hot and sweaty. Few of the locals dared to open windows which felt much better but this seemed to rile mr bus driver who stopped the bus in the middle of the road to storm up the gangway demanding they were shut and they were but only very temporarily 😉

The scenery was gorgeous, well you can picture it as it's the route they took on Top Gear. We drove past beaches and round mountains. There was quite a bit of development going on near the shore. Only really other interesting thing I saw were two big gun machines in pretty much the middle of nowhere.

Took less than 4hrs to get to Hue and after a very cheap taxi (less than $1) we arrived at our GH. Our room is really big as per usual, smells a bit foisty like and the towels are reminiscent of rags but the balcony is majorly cool with it's own seat swing 😊 Went to the DMZ Bar for tea which has an encyclopedia of a menu. Bar was funky, all the customers had free reign to grafitti the walls, ceiling, toilets...

Had a wander round some of the street here. We're in the centre of things which is good. It's quite a busy, bustling town.
