After an all night sleeping bus, which was not very comfortable and with the noise of the kids on it, the horns all night, and then the loud Vietnamese pop music early in the morning, we head down straight to the hotel for a little bit of a nap.
Tracy and I went for a walk, however after 20 min we were so sweety and tired that we decided to go back to the hotel for a rest. We then rented a motorbike (yes, I did drive here) to explore a little bit of the town, and head straight to the Citadel, but after only 15 min we had to head back as a big storm came in. We got soaking wet!!!!
For dinner we went to Little Italy for….PIZZA!!!! It was very delicious and tasty.
As it was the Hue Festival all the city was decorated for the occasion with pink lilies all over.
We tried again and rented a motorbike again and head straight to the Citadel, the erstwhile imperial city on the northern bank of the Song Huong River. It was very beautiful inside with ruins of what it used to be. Then whilst Kel & Rhys went to a temple, Tracy and I went on the search of one of the magnificent tombs as described in the Lonely Planet. A very nice woman offered us to guide us there as it was on her way to her home, and of course, as expected, once we got there she asked for money. We made it to the Tomb of Minh Mang, who ruled from 1820 to 1840. The surroundings of this tomb were magnificent and the arquitecture manages to blend with the nature.

Estaba bastante buena.
