Vietnam - Nha Trang
This was a pagoda we went to visit, the budđha was huge! Nat:
Ok so this update is a few places we have visited in Vietnam. I will start you off with Nha Trang beach, this was on the 9th April........
Nha Trang beach is known for partying, so we got our party heads on and decided to have a bit of fun with our friends we had met along the line. The first day consisted of finding a hotel, which was pretty easy and again was very cheap at $6 a night which is only like 3 pound. It's always so cheap out here! That day we headed down to the beach for a little swim, bought a bottle of vodka for a few quid then played some drinking games back at the hotel, lol. I wasn't very good so you can guess what happened, yes i got very drunk. I wanted to phone home lol. Anyway, it was a good night and we went to a few bars and played pool.
The next day we went to a waterpark which was great!!! Had loads of fun! We also went sunbathing. That night we just watched some films at the hotel as it was a shattering day. The

Nike taking a swim. third day we did some more sunbathing then afterwards headed over to an artists gallery and looked around the town, that night Nike got very drunk and was sick all night! The following day we just went swimming, me and Nike got a cyclo (a huge pram thing on a bike) over to the market and got some pressies, we also just chilled out that night with a few films. It wasn't until the last day we went to the day spa. It was so great! We had a mud bath, sunbathed, showered in a fountain and had a relaxing swim! That night we caught the night bus to Hoi An which was on the 14th April.......
Hoi An is known for shopping! It's full of tailer made shops, in fact everything is tailer made! You can get tailer made shoes, hats, swim wear, underwear and jewellery, almost anything you can think of.
It took us like 10 hours to get to Hoi An and the night bus was a nightmare! You can probably imagine what it would be like, the driver was crazy too, im sure he hit a goat. He was trying to over take

The cutest kid ever! other vehicles, uphill and on the most narrow road ever. It didn't help that he was in the wrong gear too, so his tyre burst and we stopped for an hour while he tried to fix it.
We got into Hoi An at about 7am. We scouted round and found ourselves a hotel which wasn't bad, again $6 a night and we had a t.v! We only stayed in Hoi An 3 days, we thought that this would be enough.
In the three days i managed to persuade Nik to let me buy some tailer made shorts, which was a crazy experience and we bought loads more pressies, took a boat ride and did a cooking class which was so much fun. We paid $6 each and got there at half 8 in the morning, we went to the market and the teacher (who was a little Vietnamese woman) bought some veggies and showed us which veggies was the best to buy and the names of them, please don't ask me what they were!
First we made a dish called Pho which was like noodle soup, then we made mackeral wrapped in banana leaf which was georgous! Then

A wood carvings shop. we made a chicken curry, yum! Obviously we got to eat it afterwards! Later that day we got a 3 hour bus over to Hue (pronounced hway).......
Hue was cool, although we didn't like the staff at our hotel as they tried to charge us more for the air conditioning and it didn't even work, me and Nike argued with the little woman lol. Again we only stayed in Hue 3 days from the 17th to the 20th. We explored the city and took some cool pics of the wall surrounding the city. We also managed to send a parcel back home full of pressies!!! So on the 20th we got a train over to the capital of Vietnam......
The overnight train to Hanoi was a nightmare but a cool experience, it was 16 hours long and about every half an hour you would get someone trying to open the door to the cabin. It wasn't very clean and quite small but it was better than a bus ride for 16 hours. Alot of the locals would just stare into the cabin for ages too, was a bit crazy.
Nike:
Hanoi was a great city. With
lots of hustle and bustle, it had a real energy to it, like Bangkok, its kinda dirty and crazy, but still a fun place to be. Despite having to sort out visas, and the searing heat, we still managed to have a great time. Hitting a waterpark, circus, water puppet show and best of all Halong Bay.
Halong Bay is probably the most beautiful place i have been in my life. The sea was like a green colour, the boat we were on was ace, and the rock formations were breathtaking. The trip it self involved a night out sleeping in the bay (we had to bribe a policeman for this as we left our passports at the guesthouse). We also got to swim and dive off the boat (avoiding jellyfish), explore caves, and go kayaking at sunset.
The sunset from our kayak over the bay is something i will never forget.
Another highlight was the steak and kidney pie from an irish bar, but lets be honest, steak and kidney pies are always a highlight, no matter where you are in the world!
Next update will be on Laos, coming soon i hope!!!
Love
