We can't believe we have already reached the half way point of our stay. It's just unfair that time goes so fast when you are on holidays!
Today after breakfast we decided to take a quick trip into the Main Street so that Mum and our 2 boys could get a fish foot spa. Yes that's the same type of treatment that the boys had last year! You place your feet in a tub full of tiny fish which nibble off all of your dead skin. That is, I might add, if you keep your feet very still and you sit motionless. When you move, the fish swim away do the trick is to stay very still.
Mum had an intense "treatment" because lots of fish went her way. She said it felt very tickly and strange ... I was not game enough to try it again today. The thought of it makes my tummy churn. The boys did not attract as many fish as they struggled to sit still. In saying that ... they all thought it was great fun again so it was worth the trip out of the hotel.
We returned in time to participate in a Thai
Cooking Class which was fun. Just Zmum and I did that as the boys had done didn time in the air conditioning because it was so hot and humid after bring out and about. I had a hot job ... on the wok... But I was whipping up some yummy Thai style spring rolls so it was worth the sweat!! We got to eat what we made so that was a nice surprise too. Not that we were hungry 😊
Once we'd finished being chefs all of us went for yet another hour long massage. Boy oh boy they are GOOD!!! The ladies see us coming and they start fighting over who gets to massage the boys! Dylan especially is very popular over here because of his very blond hair. They all want to take him home. He is getting better with all of the attention again now, and he isn't so bothered with being called a baby boy (he didn't like this earlier on).
After massages we had a swim and some relaxation time by the pool then headed to a cocktail making class - again getting to drink what we made. Actually we were a bit disappointed when
the first drink was a mocktail... How does that fit into a cocktail class? We made up for it on the second ... Scott and I may have accidentally splashed a little more alcohol into our pours - funny!
Happy hour followed and the boys happily played during this time. They have met some other kids here but we've found most are girls! Blake and Dylan don't mind though .. They just play with anyone.
We all went to dinner at the resort with an included dinner voucher which was nice. Walking back to the room through the resort grounds at night was magic! Then the boys found the little frogs ... And they were catching them in their hands (whilst I was running away as the thought of them made me squirm). They were having a fantastic time with a couple of frogs each .. Which of course never made it past the threshold if our door (much to Dylan's disappointment as he wanted to keep them as pets!)
Tomorrow we collect our hire car .. We are looking forward to a couple if days of exploring! More to come then .... Goodnight x
