Bangkok has really been a bit of a culture shock or more of a culture smell! Trish's senses were really bombarded by the distinctive smell of Bangkok and was a bit freaked out by the dogs and squirrels in cages outside of our hotel!

Had a good second day of our tour on a boat ride down a river in Bangkok and took some really cool snaps of the waterside villages. Went to What Pho temple and saw the massive reclining budda. Had some lunch and then we were refused entry into the Grand Palace because our legs were exposed (we were wearing long shorts) 😞.

The night was spent on the overnight train to Chaing Mai which was actually really comfy. I got into a bit of trouble with the conductor when I took an extra blanket off the empty bed next door to me!

Anyway off to see the elephants now.

Bye for now
Meagan

PS I am forcing Trish to do the next blog!
