I cant believe it is 3rd January already! So much has happened and mostly all good. Have stayed at Nai Yang beach for a few days, mainly because it was the holiday and everywhere very booked up. Caroline found these bungalows for us as they are near to the beach and airport(which Caroline and Simon needed) very nice and comfortable and quiet apart from flat Karaoke singing from Thai girls who live over the back -all day long on 1st January- I had to stop Rob from telling them they were in the wrong key!
We had a very different New Year on Surim beach with friends, Maura and Alana. Maura lives in Kamala just north of Phuket and Alana lives in London.
We know them from before and it has been great to catch up with them again. They took usto this amazing place last night called Indigo Pearl. look at it on the website. I have never seen a place like it in my life!!We had drinks and a good look round and listened to good live music. Everything about the place was out of this world.
We said goodbye to Simon yesterday and Caroline the day before. Simon was a great help and set me up with this blog which is better than facebook as you can put more words in , and everyone who knows me knows that Im very talkative!!
I have a few more episodes to do before I am up to date!!
We are heading off to Khao Lak tomorrow and now that the holiday is over, accomodation is easier to find.
All love to everyone,
Mary and Rob

Your blog was easy to access and we were pleased to hear you are having a good time.It has been very icy in Tighna for the last two weeks and unfortunately Fiona slipped one morning while going to work and has broken her wrist. She is in plaster and will be off work for some time. Hope the rest of your trip continues well and we wish you both all the best for 2010. Ellis and Fiona
