Day 16

Day 2 on Turtle Island began with more studying before heading to the equipment room to get kitted up! Jules had placed us in size order which naturally left us on the larger end next to our lovely but very tiny Danish girls! Fortunately we managed to fit into the wetsuits and we headed to the pool where we began to assemble the equipment. The water was interesting to say the least and we weren't quite as mermaid like as we had hoped but after a lot of giggling and testing of Jules patience we managed to submerge ourselves and performed all the tasks underwater which was a surreal but really good experience! We'd survived the pool but we were ever so slightly anxious about venturing into the actual sea the next day, and I think Jules may have been a little bit sceptical about our abilities too given Elin and Becky's attempts at trying to tow eachother down the pool!!..........
