We left Patong at 9 am with our driver Chai in his comfortable car and had an easy 4 hour drive through beautiful unspoilt countryside to Don Sak where we caught the ferry ( £3) to Koh Samui and then toom a taxi ( £12) for te 40 minute ride to our hotel which thank goodness is really nice!
we only booked for the 2 of us so sorting out elisa was a bit of a problem and we had to change rooms to fit her in with us...so much for romance!
