Flying into Koh Samui we were so excited, all we could see below us was beautiful sandy beaches, it looked amazing! When we landed we were picked up and taken to the airport..if thats what you can call it. It was so small basically a shed with a thatched roof and 1 small baggage carosol!!
The first thing to hit us was the heat, so as soon as we arrived at Al's Hut where we had a cute little bungalow we dropped our bags and hit the beach to catch the last few hours of sun!!
The next day we went straight to the beach to get our first real tan.... in the sun Melman looked so brown (and she kept bragging about it) but after a full day of tanning when we arrived back at the room to find out that in fact Mel was actually very burnt...not a good start!! In the evening we hit the markets - as usual Mel could hardly contain herself - everything was so cheap! After a bit of moaning and begging Gary finally gave in and Mel got her purchases..hehe!! At least it took her mind off the sunburn for a bit!!

nice pants mel!

The next day we went on an organised trip. We were picked up at 8.30 and taken to the pier where we boarded a traditional Thai boat. There was only one other older couple with us which was nice. We headed out to Koh Tan where we did some snorkelling, there were so many fish and some amazing coral!! We then went for lunch at Koh Mus-Sum where we had an amazing meal and the view was spectacular, it was so nice as we were the only ones there!
After Lunch we headed to this deserted island, the sea was amazing and there was a beautiful stretch of beach with only us on it - that was paradise!! It was soon time to head back and we had to leave these amazing islands!! The next day was spent on the beach - this time with a large umbrella to stop Mel frying anymore!! For our last night we went to an English Bar - can you believe it- to watch the football and had some good old english food, ' Come on you Blues' !!!!!

The night life here is good, lots of clubs and bars, you have to be careful which one you choose as often some, you will notice have the ladyboys standing outside!!! Where we are has everything, loads of restaurants which serve everything from local Thai to English grub!!
This is definetly somewhere we would come back too!!
Next Stop Phuket....
