Monday 21th We left Ban Phai . Bus trip to KhonKean, then to Udorn, La talked to woman on bus, who told us to take short cut and Udorn. We got off at first stop in city, then got baht buss-- small pickup--- and went across town much faster than the buss. only 16baht for both of us. We also bypassed buss station and got a buss on outbound. Save lots of time and waiting. got to PakKat an visited friend from La's villiage who moved away 20 years ago.
Tried crossing border at NangKai. Too much hassle. Will wait till we go to Burma-- at MaiSot
We are in Nokhon Phanom. Nice hotel with air-- 400 baht
