The city of rivers. We stopped off for the day, rented bicycles to see the outdoor ruins of wats (temples) with stone headless Buddhas, and took a boat ride around the city to see yet more wats. All of the boat drivers were women. I think we were the only tourists crazy enough to rent bikes in that heat but you could almost feel a breeze as you pedaled. We got caught in the daily monson rains while on the boat, but our driver quickly produced umbrellas for us. It actually felt refreshing since it was a little cooler than the air.

Ayuthaya: I found out afterwards that this photo is sacreligious, but it's kind of hard to get my head below Buddha's.
