Day 8 - Kaohsiung

Ma-Ma was off today, and decided to take us to a local shopping mall that had a unique attraction: a Ferris wheel on the roof. We borrowed another scooter and rode down to the mall, which appeared to be almost brand new. (This was also my very first time on a scooter, although I was riding on the back of Ma-Ma’s) Sure enough, there was a huge Ferris wheel on the roof, which we went up to see (but not ride). The mall had all the major labels you can think of : Prada, Gucci, Ferragamo, Starbucks. You name it.

It was a pretty short trip, and we eventually made our way back to the HSR station for the trip back to Taipei. We said goodbye to Lindi, who was going back to Taichung by bus.

We arrived in Banciao station in Taipei at 5pm and went right to Ai-ee’s house. After dinner Ai-ee’s husband gave us a fun tea-making demo.
