Breakfast before the run.
This past weekend Rachel and i ran a 13k barefoot race through the hills outside of Daejeon, a city 3 hours to the north. It was my first real run,Rachel's second. The terrain made it interesting and quite challenging along with the no shoes factor. There was a layer of clay which seemed to be recently laid down on top of the road for the race. With the rain the day before most of that clay was displaced exposing the rocky road underneath. All of our focus was on navigating the trail instead of distance and time which was evident when we finished. Our feet told the tale. It was a great time.

Being finished and standing on the grass played a big part in our happiness at this moment.
