So this is it - our last night in Asia, as we leave Singapore tomorrow morning for Australia. Paul and I were saying this morning that it's probably a good time, as we're both feeling a bit tired and burnt out... and weary from the neverending heat. It will be good to relax at Paul's parents' place for a few weeks in New Zealand (when we finally make it to Hamilton!) before we start our enormous Africa trip.

We've not done a whole lot in Singapore, truthfully. We've taken a look at some of the main sites - Raffles Hotel, some of the colonial buildings, etc. but most people tend to do a lot of shopping. Which we've done. Tonight we're off to Clarke Quay, which is a posh new(ish) waterfront development with all the nice bars, restaurants, etc. so that should be fun. Our flight leaves quite early tomorrow morning for Sydney, so I'm sure we'll be beat when we arrive.

We found out from the Canadian consulate that we're able to get same-day service for Paul's permanent residence visa on Monday, so that is fantastic news for us, and makes life a lot easier that we don't have to send his passport anywhere. Whew!

Alrighty, that's all from Singapore - we'll be online once or twice from Australia, I'm sure, so I'll update when we get there.
