It's October holidays in China. The all country closes for the full week, so we are off to paradise. This was nearly
a perfect week...if the markets didn't crash and sent me straight to my computer hoping everything would calm out
pretty fast...tuff times in the world are waiting ahead of us, hope we'll manage!

Last year October holidays were a great family ones with my parents and Leslie in the Maldives...this year, it's should
be one of our last chinese october holidays as we may move closer to better weather ( and better diving) sooner than later...

But first of all, it's our first holiday week with Ma'ri and Leslie...a week of joy, cuddles, bubbles, diving and
mainly love!

Leslie and Ma'ri took the flight from Shanghai to Hong Kong on their own Friday after school, and I met them just
outside the plane in Hong Kong....did I tell you Cathay is great at making us closer together faster....and allowing
me to go to pick them up right at the gate of the plane!

I had to do some serious homeworks to find our paradise. The rules I gave to myslef where the following...proper
luxury, a place where Leslie and Ma'ri could start to dive, a place that I hadn't been yet (that's start to be a very
tuff one!), a place where Leslie would have great fun while we were diving, and finaly a place with ok dive conditions,
as you may know, I'm a truly spoiled kid! The last three contenders where Amanwara in the Flores sea, slightly too
many hours to get there to my liking. Amanpulo...average dive, and not much to do for Leslie, and El Nido...the
happy winner!

We than made our way to Manila, Leslie in business, us drinking champagne in the small seats...this is life...
A short night in Manila, and early morning to the private terminal of El Nido and Amanpulo resorts...a nice way
to start an adventure.

It's the end of the typhoon season, but they are all over. So bumpy ride on our way to El Nido, and a first day
under the clouds...and few minutes of rain. Our first stop is in Miniloc Resort...a kind of Robinson Crusoe place,
with a staff ratio of at least 5 for each guest...yes being spoiled is great!

Great first lunch, and straight to the bubble maker for Leslie, and first dive lesson for Ma'ri...as three days
later, she would receive her Open Water Padi certification.

Now, you may not be a diver, but if you are one, you know how important it is to be able to dive with your love
ones...actually, it's the same for skiing and golfing...read some of my last entries to understand better...
smile...Leslie still has to wait 22 months before turning 10 years old...and for his birthday, he already know he
will be able to get the Junior Padi...to dive with us!

Miniloc Resort...a gorgeous place, on it's private Island, no roads, no cars, only a house reef to snorkel/dive,
bungalows right on the beach, a cliff and some jungle...and hundreds of smiles all around.

El Nido Resorts is actually two resorts, Miniloc and Lagen...for Lagen, you'll have to wait few days for the entry.
It's also 2 beaches on there private islands (Entalula and Pangulasian) that are used for day grazing under the sun,
to do cliff climbing, snorkeling/diving...and mainly cuddling on day beds under the sun...

We spent our first 3 nights on Miniloc...feeding ourselfs on shrimps, squids and other great fresh food, drinking
bubbles under the stars, and enjoying our time in paradise...

Leslie dived, swam with the big jacks....we all went to explore the Big Lagoon and Small lagoon by kayak, dived more
and cuddled more.

Enjoy the pics, pics of smiles, pics of loves...pics of life...below and under the water....

See you in a few days, the paradise story continues...and hopefully markets will rebound fast!
