Hesitant to travel that's what I can describe when I think about getting my self in different places, lots of things need to expect beside even pro traveler sometimes have a trouble back packing, bringing the right things, budget. At first I never see the worth of it I think it's only a waste of energy in a fast pacing world with responsibilities on your shoulder who cares about traveling? Yes I never see the beauty of it I admit it and I regret not traveling when I was younger but it was never too late.
So I start reading some blogs from different people about their travel it's like a walk through actually, found out that there's more to it when you experience first hand than reading, I'm excited when I see some blog post I see some people who go to caves, beaches, hiking, etc. Taking a first step was really easy as 1,2,3 at the same time challenging since I never been a fan of traveling, next step is to look for a place and since I'm planning to visit Marinduque I try to reach some of my friends there asking to bond with me if I got there and of course they also love that, they give me some place to stay with a cheap price since I'm planning to stay there for 2 days.
The travel time took about 11 hrs, including the bus from cubao to lucena dalahican, by the way my friends are from Sta. Cruz we are also planning to go beach after I get there. I was surprise when I'm traveling from boac to sta. cruz there's a parade with full gear costume with combination of adults and children wow I was amazed that this kind of celebration was also been passed to younger generation, asking some folks they said it's a celebration called Moriones Festival. I never imagine the timing of my visit I didn't know also about it but it's great I take some pictures of it also.
When I arrived at Sta. Cruz I stay the night at a hotel and prepare some things for tomorrow, my friend told me they will going to pick me around 5:00 AM did ask why so early and they explain it to me why, so I didn't bother to ask more I just said ok no problem.
Early morning my friends came I was happy to see them it's been a year since we bond together we ride at a tricycle telling me that we are going to a resort but we need to ride a boat, wow I said is that expensive since we need to get there by boat? No it's a cheap resort with a nice place and foods it was one of the favorite place of travelers I was excited thinking it was awesome place.
It was relaxing and I feel energized it's been a long time since I go to beach seeing lots of fish and coral reefs was amazing, at the bay we rent a ride going to resort called Wawie's Beach Resort it's about 5 minutes ride or less. At first I was curious at the place but when I got there wow it's actually cool all are nipa hut which preserve the natural look of the resort though one thing be advise that their comfort room is only average. So my friend and I rent a room good for 3 it's about 1,200 Pesos per night and since I'm only staying for 2 days that's a good deal. We didn't waste a time there's a cottage available near beside the shore so we grill some fish and meat and drink a couple of beer the beach is also good. That day it's a bit rainy and only few people are visiting the resort well what can you expect it's not a season or no upcoming holidays.
After a couple of talk catching up what we've been busy then we decided to rent a boat to do island hopping and since my friend knows the owner of Wawie's Beach Resort we got a discount on the boat. First we go to Mongpong Ungab Rock Formation by the name you can describe how it was look like I was fascinated by the formation of those rocks, there are some stall available beside the shore food are also fresh. We stay there for a couple of hours take note just be careful on the jelly fish they can be found just near the shore though they are tiny but still sting.
Next we go to the famous palad sand bar it's about 30 minutes from Ungab Rock Formation local says it only appears between 6AM - 9AM and 4PM - 7PM. We got there around 4:30 PM and the place was astonishing it's like a floating land at the middle of nowhere. It was a fine white sand and you can see some little crab walking around harmless. I don't want to go back anymore hahaha it's a dream land but sad to say after a couple of hours we went back to the resort it's perfect memories I'll definitely visit Marinduque again.
