the highlight of the trip! after a tiring trek, the blue water came in to view. It is an underground river which drains to Pulangui river...

Blue water is not just your ordinary bluish-underground-river-cave, it's history has more...





It's not just an ordinary tourist spot. It's history makes it even engulfing to you and to your adventurous spirit. Though it's history is unwritten, it is known by the word of mouth of the natives in the area. Word of mouth has shifting foundations and facts could not be true. However, the Blue Water natives has stories in which one could not be hesitant to believe...

Many believed that Japanese soldiers lived in the caves of Quezon, Bukidnon during the World War 2. It explains the gold mining activity in the area. The narrow stairway leading to the Blue Water cave was said to be built by the gold miners. Many doubted the story is true, and mostly believe it's just a crap. Come here and you decided which is which.

The boundary bridge of Quezon and Maramag. The people in the area said that the original bridge was cut down because both ends were sitting on a pot of gold...you can actually see the remains of the old bridge just beside the newly built one

our guide said that the narrow stairway leading to the cave is built by gold miners... It's so narrow and steep without any support from either sides

This is where the Blue Water underground river drains, the Pulangui river. It is the biggest body of water found in the Municipality of Quezon.

I looked up the sky with a contented, happy, and a bit confused heart. I enjoyed every bit of the experience but the true history about the spot still bothers me...maybe someday, it will all be clear...someday...
