This is the set of a popular Filipino daytime tv show. It's kind of a variety show. We went for Ruth's B-day (in Manila). This is why we had to be up at 4am (3hrs to Manila)

We sat in special seats that were a little more in the mix. We had a group of 13.

We rode in a van with over a dozen other people. I had the worst seat and got almost no sleep. I felt like garbage. Then we were in the rehearsal and filming for 5 hrs. It was great but weird.

This show had the final of their marching band competition. All the bands were great with good dancers. They played arrangements of the current US hits (it was still good though).

A few pics away you'll see the female again but as a dancer with the blue on. All the others are orange.

At this moment, while filming live, all six competitors were on stage. As the two hosts were talking about who would win they suddenly said in English "let's see what the foreigners think!". I then had a microphone in my face and was live across a country of 7000 islands. Kristina's Aunt Tia said I looked good on TV. I always knew I would.

People come to the show because they give away 10,000 piso to three different people each show (and ya get to be on tv). This was one if the drawings.

These dancers sucked so very, very bad. This was a short competition to find the weeks' guy and girl dancer (or something). They spoke Tagalog the whole show. All I know is they SUCKED!!

This restaurant is like McDonald's but with Filipino favorites on the menu too. I actually had a big case study on them in grad school, so it was really neat to eat there (several times).

The last day in Manilla was filled with shopping. The deals were awesome. Especially in the overstock shops and malls.

WTF does this mean. I'm waiting for Marvis to stop by so she can translate. Ok. Basically it says if you commit a crime in Taiwan you can't just run away to China and vice-versa. I thought...well whatever
