Close to the capital city Kathmandu, Ganesh Himal region lies between the central and eastern part of Nepal. It includes a range of peaks among which the highest four are Ganesh I or Yangra (7422m), Ganesh II (7118m), Salasungo (7043m) also known as Ganesh III and Pabil/Ganesh IV (7104m). There are fourteen other peaks over 6000 meters. The mountain range is named after the Hindu deity of good fortune, elephant-headed Ganesh. Budhi Gandaki, Bhote Koshi and Trishuli are the major rivers that flow in this region.

Our trek to Ganesh Himal passes through local villages inhabited primarily by Tamang and other communities and filled with dense forests and rough terrains. At an altitude of 4200 meters, we cross the Sing La Pass from where we can enjoy the panoramic view of additional mountain ranges like Langtang and Manaslu. This 15-day trek gives you a mixture of adventure, experience and a closer look to the life and culture in Nepal.

The best seasons to join this trek are autumn and spring. The weather is clear and views are breathtaking. Winter obviously is a good choice but you need to withstand strong colds. Summer or Monsoon will be affected by rainfalls but a good choice if you are into botany.
