The little peak to the right has stopped more climbers from ascending Annapurna than any other impediment as the logical route is to climb the ridge on the right.

Every place you hike to gives you a different facet to gaze at. This is a truly remarkable place to visit.

Walked up the stony bed for 3 miles. Note the vertical sandstone formations on the left. Exactly the same stuff Karen and I saw in Capitol Reef National Park, Utah.

Beautiful irrigation system. This is a big farming area due to all of the carefully constructed terraces.

Loved your latest
Hi Mike, I'm enjoying your pictures and adventure stories! I can picture you in all these places and I know you are collecting new friends wherever you go. All is well in New Mexico. It's hard to imagine, but we are just 12 days out from our first year without good old JED. Life goes on, as it must. Mom's real good at carrying on and has done so with the grace you would expect. She is a trooper from way, way back. My kids are both great. Bradley is in his last week of his 7th grade. He is awesome, as always. Tom and I live in continual bliss...life is good. All my love to you and keep your blogs coming! Peggy
