Deer Stones were placed around the Mongolian landscape thousands of years ago. They are intricately carved with animalistic designs and they stand like pillars in the middle of open plains. We stopped to have lunch next to this one.

Sanyi decided that we all wanted to ride our horses up a ludicrously steep hill. The views were worth it, but the feeling of nearly falling off my horse wasn't welcome after my camel experiences.
