Sunday June 26th 2011 was the most interesting birthday in my life. I used to dream of seeing Mongolian steppe and gers. On this day my dream came true. Myself and two Australian girls, whom I met at Khongor Guest House, traveled on a one day tour. We left Khongor Guest House at 9am and back at 4pm. The noodles, beef and potato were cooked at the local ger next to our tourist ger.

I told our driver that I wanted to try horse milk, so he took us to this shop on the way from Terelj back to Ulaanbaatar. He also bought a bottle of Airag as his son likes it. I myself found the milk is very sour.

Tourist gers are located on the left side and close to these gers. They have power connected to each other. The young girl in this photo cooked lunch for us. She is mother of a 3-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl.

There are lots of stairs to go up to this monastery. A group of young Chinese from Hong Kong are standing along stairs for taking photos.

Thanks for sharing you rtrip to Mongolia with us, really interesting blogs and great photos. To ride a motorcycle there would be a great way to see the country.
