georgetown
market day been in malasia for about 3 weeks
started off in langawi islands then on to georgetown , aftera few days in george town we moved east on the overnight bus to the perenthium islands , a few isolated islands of the east coast of malasia, we arrived by speed boat at about 8 am there is only a few places to stay on the beach, there is no roads its all speed boat taxis, we panicked a bit as we could not find any accomadation , we trudged up and down the beach till finally 11.30 am we got a room just yards from the beach,
the weather is good the beach is good however it sees to be more gearsd up for the divers the water is crystal clear,
it was a bit pricy as a beer was £2 but they had you by the short and curlys.
then onward to the mainland where ramadam had started , we tried a few places up and down the coast and we were struggling to find food till about 5pm wich was a total contrast to thailand
enough of this we thought so off back to thailand,
we are currently back in
an nong ( krabi ) where we stay for a few days and then back to lanta islands where our 4 and 3 legged friends await their dinner and walkies
i was a little bit miffed about malasia there is a lot of money there from the oil and all the old places with character have been pulled down and new resorts built but with no soul just a "concrete jungle "
we both look forward to our return to lanta and we will see what the next month brings our visa llasts for 60 days then we apply for an extension
