Truly Paradise!
May 28 - June 3 Perhentian Island Malaysia
It was time to move on to the secluded Perhentian Island of Malaysia. We boarded an overnight train towards the Thailand - Malaysia border. There are actually two Islands that make up the Perhentian Islands, the Big Island and Small Island. We chose to stay on Long Beach on the Small Island. Long Beach is a where the majority of the backpackers stay (people between the ages of 19-30). Perhentian Island, like Koh Tao, is known for its amazing scuba diving. It was obvious that the Perhentian Islands were less developed than Koh Phangan and Koh Tao, which made it comparable to the island on the Swiss Family Robinson Disney movie. It was extremely hard to leave the Perhentian Islands, even though I was unable to dive due to some issues with my ears. Lilly Resort, Panorama Restaurant- Pizza, Tacos, Shakes, Ice Cream, Lazy Buoy, White Sand Beaches, huge spiders, monitor lizards, BBQ, King Fish, Relaxation…

June 3 - 4 Cameron Highlands, Malaysia
Cameron Highlands was a nice break from being covered in sand for a few weeks. The British, way back when, found that the weather in the Highlands was ideal

for building tea plantations. We chose to take an afternoon tea break at the BOH Tea Plantation, before we made our way South to the capital city of Kuala Lumpur.

June 4 - 7 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
I really enjoyed the time we spent in KL. The main attraction was definitely the Petronas Twin Towers, which are the tallest Twin Towers in the world at 452 m. They are currently the 3rd tallest buildings in world behind the Sears Tower and Taipei 101.

June 8 Singapore
Nick and I spent only 24 hours in Singapore, and we did our best to see all the sights despite the rain. The 24 hours stint in Singapore was more than enough time spent in this ridiculously expensive country.
