Trip To Genting Highlands

My Working place organised a short tour to Genting Highlands in Malaysia. Genting Highlands is situated on a hill in the pahang state. It is well known for its cool climate and its casino. Singaporeans flock over there to try their luck over there.

Nowadays there is alot of Arabs coming over to enjoy the cool temperture and have fun with the family in the theme parks. The largest Hotel in the world is here with 5600 rooms,

There is lots of ways of getting to genting and the most freqent is by road. For the well heeled they even have helicopter service.

The road leading to genting is twisty and steep but most drive up anyway, i like taking the cable car up as it offers a more relaxing trip up.

Once in Genting we checked into first world hotel, As it was a company trip, we were given a basic room. Once you enter the room, you will notice there will be no airconditioning in the room. Well who needs one when you have a natural one when you open the window. Great location for honeymooners.

Genting can be considered a mini city in itself coz you will find lots of restaurants,arcades, cinema, theme park and not forgetting the cazino.

You can even take a public transport to Kuala Lumpur for only RM3. It will drop you at pudu raya in KL.

Once we check in, we took the cable car down and a taxi from base station to KL. Did shopping at Pertaling street. Here you will find fake products of famous brands at cheap prices. Got myself some T-shirts and sunglass and went back to Genting Highlands.

The next day we had fun in the theme park. They have the roller coaster and other stuff to keep you entertained. Went to the casino in the evening. You have to wear a collar shirt to go in. It was a mini Las Vegas in there.

After which saw a movie for only RM10 and called in the day.

Came back to Sinagpore on the third day by coach from Genting. The trip back took about 6 hours and the distance was about 380km
