This was my first tour and it was a dream come true. What an unbelievable experience!!! I could say that I'm not having any second thoughts about going to Malaysia at all. It was one hell of a trip with my mom and my sis and I'm dying to go back there next year to celebrate my birthday. It will be like a perfect birthday gift to me from myself :P
From 08 - 01 -2011 To 11 - 01 - 2011
Day 01 :
We ( me, my mom and my cousin ) landed in Kuala Lumpur on a Saturday and our driver told us that there is a shopping spree happening in the streets of KUL in every Saturday and even though that we were a bit tired we decided to check out that shopping spree anyways and it was just around the corner that our hotel was in. So around 2 pm we started to do the street shopping and it was just amazing. We ate a lot of junk food which were really tempting and also got a chance to experience the traditional cuisines as well. On the very first day i bought some
KUL Air Port
We decided to take a photo of our first flight souvenirs for myself and for my friends and we came back to the hotel around midnight then we hit the beds. Surprisingly we weren't tired at all.
Day 02 :
We got up early and had breakfast from the hotel and decided to do some sight seeing. After all that's the main reason we went there :P So anyways we got ourselves a travel map and and got some directions from the tour guide and went out. First we went to the Petronas Towers which was an A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. thing to see. Even though that I've seen the pictures of it in the internet and from the magazines, I never thought that it would be this wonderful and breathtaking. So we went inside and did some window shopping bcz most of the things were a bit expensive for our budget so we decided not to buy anything from inside.
After that we went to the STARBUCKS which was near by and had a little taste of it. Bcz I've heard people say how good the coffee is and all but i never had one for real. So i realized that what Starbucks is really about ( which is
one of the closest place to heaven).
After the Petronas towers we took a cab and went to the Butterfly Park which was another wonderful experience. We got to see a variety of butterflies and their ways of live which was really breathtaking. I loved every second that I spent in there. I bought some souvenirs from there as well.
Since collecting fridge magnets from different countries is my biggest passion i bought two magnets and a lot of souvenirs which I'm really into.
Then we grabbed lunch from a local place. At first we weren't sure about what to eat then we found a nice friendly place where they serve meals which were similar to Sri Lankan meals so we had some rice and curry which was absolutely delicious. I still miss those delicious meals.
We grabbed some dinner and came back to the room around 8pm and since it was still a bit early and we were not that tired we hit the road again. We went to the nearest shopping mall and did some real shopping till around 11-11.30pm.
day 03 :
On the final day in Malaysia we had an
The Saturday Bazar
After all the shopping we decided to taste the yummy Strawberry Shake :P early breakfast and went to meet the travel agent who organized our tour. We settled down our payments and we thanked him for the great service that he provided.
Then we went to a Shoping Bazar which was near by and they had the most fanciest hand bags, shoes, jewellary and etc.... that any woman would want to have so we did some shopping for about a couple of hours and then realized our suitcases were not big enough to fit all those stuff. So we bought new suitcases and kept all the stuff in the hotel and went back out.
After that we went to see the English Club and that King's Court and all the other old buildings and places. The weather was quite hot but comparing to our weather ( Sri Lankan) it was not that bad too. Anyways We took a lot of photos and came back to the hotel around 6.30pm and started to pack bcz our flight was at 2.30 in the morning in the next day so we didn't have any time to sleep at all .
Remarks :
So this was my first experience in overseas and I
