Today we decided to rent a scooter for the weekend. (80 RM for 48 hrs.) We figure since we are paying money for bus fare & taxis, we might as well enjoy it. (Bus fare 1-3 RM per person; taxi 4-25 Rm, it all adds up)

Scooters are very common here in Malaysia. You see 1 to 4 persons (family of 4; Mom, Dad and two children) on them frequently. Sometimes we see Mother and Father with a one year old in between. Its very scary...

Anyway, today was a fun experience. We went along one side of the Island dodging and swerving thru traffic. Its amazing how well this little scooters get thru traffic even if you are lost. There is alot of one ways... that makes it easy.

After a stroll down the beach we drove to the butterfly Farm, 15-20min from our guest house room. It was small but, cool. After the park we cruised along a small fishing village. I have been trying to find someone to take me fishing without paying too much. The cost is 250RM (about 75.00 US), it looks like i will end up paying that much. After no luck, we decided to eat at "End of the Road Seafood," i had seafood rice and a small lobster.

After lunch we went into town (George Town) to get some much needed safety/sun glasses. Its fun to ride around with the locals on this fast bikes. We also drove by Chinatown, Little India and a temple to pay our respects. Around 5pm we headed back to our room for a quick swim...
