If I died and woke up in the Cameron Highlands, I wouldn't mind. This place is phantastic! I met some people at the guesthouse in Tanah Ratah, and together we climbed a couple of mountains and one tree, around 2000m high, with great views of the jungle-covered valleys and tea plantations. Today we visited a tea factory. It's much more relaxing than Taman Negara, due to the cooler temperatures and total lack of leeches. I have been hiking every day and the trails were really steep and challenging at times, making me go to bed early and satisfied. I was planning to head back up to Thailand tomorrow, but now it looks like I will go to Pulau Pangkor for Christmas, with 2 Dutch guys and an American. I wish y'all some merry merry holidays!

On this day we walked from the village (the first houses you can see on the upper right) to the Boh Tea Estate, for a short tour of the factory, great panoramic views, and (surprise) a cup of tea.

Hi Johnny! Ich wünsche dir ein schönes neues Jahr da am Ende der Welt. Bevor ich mich an eine längere Mail mache (sie kommt bestimmt!), wollte ich dir kurz hier schreiben. Das ist ja der Wahnsinn, was du so erlebt hast! Kann ich mir alles gar nicht vorstellen, du kämpfst dich durch den Dschungel und ich buche im Büro Rechnungen, geht es noch gegensätzlicher? hm... Johannes! Happy New Year, traveller. Hoffe du hast die Feiertage gut überlebt und bist heil ins neue Jahr gereist. Ich werde langsam sehr neidisch auf alles das, was du so erlebst.
