Edit Blog Post

November 2nd - 7th I have to start this entry with an apology. I feel terrible that we haven't kept up with this blog like we wanted to, who knew that writing about your experiences could be so difficult and time consuming. We have had a great time here in Malaysia so far and are already half way through our time here. I will attempt to give you short updates of what we have been doing from No... Read Full Entry

This guy had his paws up on my knee and then laid down just as we started taking pictures. (yes Judith, we washed our hands after!)

A pretty nice place to shop and great views of the mountains. Of course the clouds decided to clear after we did the tram ride!

More like stairway to hell! 500 meters of stairs to get to the top of Seven Wells waterfall, but we did it!

I had to point out what you are looking at because at first glance it looks like this is a badly taken shot. He was pretty big, maybe 2 1/2 feet, but I couldn't get close. Obviously the fence is there so silly people don't go chasing lizards over the edge, like me!

A beach on the north end of the island. A storm was coming in so it's hard to see the horizon line.

Ayer Hangat Village. This was supposed to be a great place for buying local crafts, but nothing was open. The building was nice, though.

Off the main deck they had platforms in the water making it very easy to get in and out. The tiny fish swarmed as soon as people got in, they know people = food.

Purple anemone

The round blue things are actually bright purple anemone that are closed up. The open ones (around them) had clown fish doing their thing, swiming among the tentacles. It was cool to see in person, but the underwater camera didn't capture them.

Swiming over this coral was kind of scary. The waves were pretty strong and I was worried about the water level dropping and banging into the coral.

There were scuba divers using the deck too. These fish loved the air bubbles and would follow them around.

Handwashing
Ok, this is sort of scary but the very first thought I had when I read (before seeing the pics) about the bunnies was, "I wonder if they washed their hands?" :-) I'm glad you guys are having so much fun. That trip sounds amazing. I want to hang out in a glass tram above the trees... J
