From South West Laos up through the Mekhong River/Pakbeng to the North East and back into North Thailand via Chiang Khong, travelling through Chang Mai and back to Bangkok.
The places visited in Laos were as follows; Lac Sao, Vientiane, Viang Vieng & Luang Prabang.
