We arrived in vientianne after a 4hr bus journey from vang vieng. Vientianne was much less of a party town and more about the sight seeing and culture.... so chilled out and laid back for a capital city. We spent our days visiting sights such as Buddha Park, the golden temple and Vientiannes version of arc de triumph.... also exploring the town on our 1960's bicycles. On the more relaxed days we would chill out at the local swimming pool and waterpark, also paying visits to the local market. The nights were spent bowling with new found friends and watching world cup games on a huge screen with 1000's of locals. Laos was amazing but the time came to leave so soon enough we purchased our airline tickets to Hanoi, Vietnam.... time to master a new language, currency and not to mention cuisine!!
