omg excuse any bad spelling as we are a little bit drunk....weve been tubing all day in laos and have popped in a internet shop for a quick break from the drink. our trip here from bangkok took us over 30 hours on buses, stopping in vienetiene on the way to get our new 30 day visas which we were told to look respectable for.....of course we listend and turned up in a cheap tuk tuk and jack daniels tshirts...fingers crossed we get our visas accepted. we had to get the bus to vang vieng fron vientiene.....we almost got persuaded into a private mini bus of a random guy atthe bus statipn...something told us it wasnt right when he led us 3 blocks away to his taxi which was clearly a skip on wheels and never a taxi. we got scared and went back for the bus. of course we got the wrong bus...well not the tourist bus the locals bus. it was dusty and stank.....shit hit the fan when the man asked for our money after two hours and we handed over thai baht...he was sayong kip kip...kip? what is a kip? laou money which we didnt have haha.all the locals on he bus were laughing at us. they eventually accepted our baht god knows what we paid but we got millions of kips change haha. that journey was one to remember, it broke down twice in the middle of knowhere..red hot and loads of animals walkin around the roads and familys washing in the rivers. anywaywe eventually made it to our bungalow...which is lush for 4.00 a night...for 3!!! we were knakerd so went for a few drinks and food as we hadnt ate in 24 hours! this is what happens when ur bus stops in the middle of knowhere at 3 in the mornin at a seven eleven and ur half asleep and in a panick cant think of anything to but exept coffee and chuppa chups lolly pops!! today was amazing tho...got up early went for breakfast and got in a tuk tuk down to the tubing bars...thinking we could get our tubes down at the river. for anyone who doesnt know what tubing is...well u havent lived haha..basically its like bar street on afast river and u go from bar to bar in ur ring...bars throw a water bottle out for u to grab onto and u go into their bar,,,,have a drink then back into ur ring to the next bar. Anyway we soon realised we had to get a tuk tuk back to the town to get our tubes...after a bucket of course! this by the way was at 10.30am today. once we had our tubes we went back down to the river few more drinks then in our tubes we got.......scary at first but soooooo funny. went to every bar on the river that was open...you have a right laugh on the way and meet loads of people.....one man inparticular called john haha who had lost all his mates so we stayed with him till the last bar...last we saw of him he was drifting down the manky river...woooops haha. shell done some rope swings and thankfully shes still alive, the current was quite strong. anywat we got in our tubes after the last bar pissed as farts and started getin a bit scared when we passed the sign saying tubing ends here.......omg it was so scary we couldnt see anybody else and people on the river sides were laughing at us. why allways us?????? 3 little local boys about 7 year old totally rescued us...we were waving and shouting help and they done a propper baywatch and dived in for us and dragged us to the side.hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah you had to be their!!!!!! we payed the little lads in kips for rescuing us....god knows what we gave them as we still dont understand kips but all rach could shout was give them half wa kips!!!!!!!! #traumatised! anyway were still alive thanks to them haha we might be steamin and coverd once agaon head to toe in body paint...this time car body paint and it dont look like its coming off. sooooo time for another drink in laos......we leave tomorrow for chiang mai!!!!!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
