On Sunday 22nd January, Belinda and I went to Gotemba to see the 'Illumination' Christmas lights. On the way there we had to catch a bus into Shizuoka City, then the Shinkansen (below) train to Mishima station, then a free shuttle bus to the lights at Gotemba. It took about 2.5 hrs.

It was freezing cold in Gotemba. We ate at a buffet restaurant which overlooked part of the light tunnel and a soccer field.

Some strange mushroom houses we found. In the summer you can rent them to stay in.
