Well, FINALLY I climbed Mt. Yotei!! Fujio and I started our trek at about 11am, and the trek to the top took us about 4 hrs. It was pretty hard and steep in areas, but the view from every point was amazing, which kinda made me forget the spasms the muscles in my leg were having… once we reached the top, we watched the most amazing sky and sunset, I have definitely never seen such a beautiful sky and sunset, the whole valley turned this amazing red-pink and all we could do was watch in awe… don't even know where I could start to describe it! After we snapped ourselves out of our daze, we made our way to the mountain hut, and dumped our stuff. It was pretty damn cold, despite the fact that I pulled out my boarding gear and down jacket 4 mths early…. We ended up crashing at about 3am and waking up super early to catch the sun set the next day… it was a bit tough waking up at 4;30, getting out in about 3 degree temp and trekking our way up to the peak of the mountain… but was
Top of Yotei
Fujio just after we reached the top worth it as the sun set was one of the most breath taking things I have ever seen… it was like the view you see from an airplane, we were above the clouds and just watched this amazing pink sun pop up from underneath us… was seriously like being in a different world, and the closest feeling I think you can get to being in heaven whilst still alive.. I brought my sleeping bag with me and ended up falling asleep on the top of the mountain, it was weird as you would wake up from the cold every hour or so and just think you were still dreaming as all that was around was big, fat white clouds underneath…again, don't have the vocabulary to even begin to describe the feeling, but its one of those things that you just know you will only see once in your life...

WOW
Those photos are awesome. Sitting here in boring Corporate-world Sydney - salivating with envy!
