Imori Plaza Ski Resort - Maybe White Wasnt a Good Idea Cause Noone Could Ever Find Me Xmas Day in the Japan Alps started about 10am with a quick breakfast, then changed into our snowboarding gear an grabbed our newly waxed board an headed for the slopes - spent about 6 hours boarding an getting better an better so started doing the intermediate slopes...got a bit too cocky at one stage when I thought I was ready for the Expert slope..I stopped at the top of the slope an looked over the edge...looked over at Aaron..looked at my life insurance policy an crawled on my ass back over to the intermediate slope instead 😉
We went out Xmas Day to meetup with Ashna (London), Rae (Newcastle) & Lydia (London) that we met in Sakura Hostel over a couple weeks in Tokyo. We went to a bar by their Ski Resort, and yet again metup with some people from Tokyo again..so we was about 10 of us out in the end..we were too late for dinner so we got some chicken burgers...its not turkey I know but its close cousin will have to do
New Years Eve morning as usual began with 6-7 hours of snowboarding - I managed to snowboard down the mountain from 1600ft without

New Years Night - Car Park Covered in 3FT Of Snow - How Could I Resist falling once...i think ive found my new pastime
We went out on New Years Eve to a bar called Tracks which is close to our lodge and the main bar around the Ski Resort. We noticed two familiar people straight away - it was two guys that we had met in Sakura Hostel back in Tokyo, small world indeed. We were told around 11.30pm by the barstaff to go downstairs - now we had been in this same bar twice before an didnt realize a “downstairs” actually existed - and of course there was a nightclub...why wasnt I told this days ago...was the funniest nightclub cause everyone was wearing ski clothes, hats an scarves cause it was soo cold....but endedup having a gr8 nights laugh...when we left the club in the wee hours we soon realized that there was a snow storm outside cause about 2ft of snow had appeared out of nowhere...so once I saw where a carpark was earlier in the night I decided in all my wisdom that jumping into 3ft of snow would be a good idea at 4am...the pictures tell the rest of the story.
