I wrote about this as a Jodo Shinshu temple based on the hongwangi crest, but I haven't found verification online yet.

This is what made me think it was a Jodo Shinshu temple. Jodo Shinshu in Japan separates itself from the Shinto pantheon, opposed to Tendai and Shingon Buddhism.
