Oops!! I forgot to update again. x____x Sorry, everyone! It's been a hectic couple of weeks for me. I've been fighting off something for awhile and with my overtime and shift swaps, it's been hard finding the time to really rest and get back on my feet. However, the weather has been gorgeous, for the most part, aside from a few big storms we had - it's been raining so much here this autumn!
I went to Disneyland with Wes and Chandra to see the Halloween decorations! I was pretty impressed that I got myself out there through 3 transfers, and I met them around 6 pm. My ticket was the discount ticket for after 6, which was perfect for my schedule, and even just having 4 hours was totally worth it! It was sooo awesome. They REALLY decorated for Halloween, it was so cool! There were tons of pumpkins and ghosts everywhere, and even the lights along the walking paths were jack-o-lanterns!
The Haunted Mansion was completely redone with Nightmare Before Christmas, so we went on that and it was so cool. We saw the lights parade, and ate some great food. People here dress up to come
to Disney at Halloween! We also went on the Tokyo Disney exclusive ride, Pooh's Hunny Hunt, which was actually really cute and fun. And of course, we saw the fireworks - there were some Jack Skellington and pumpkin shaped ones! All in all, a great night, even if it was cold and kind of rainy at the end, and I had to get up mega early the next day to work again. 😊
My schedule changes soon, so instead of Mon-Tues off, I'll get Wed-Thurs off, which is better because I'll finally get paid holidays! Most of them fall on Mondays, so I've been missing out on them. But due to the schedule change and a Friday off, I have TWO three-day weekends in November, and I couldn't be happier about this. FINALLY!! It's been four months since I've been here, I would like a nice long break for once. My voice needs it! And I bought my plane ticket home, so I'm officially back in the states Dec. 31- Jan. 9!
I also got to do some stuff I hadn't done yet when I hung out with a Japanese friend. We went on the ferris wheel at
disneyland 005
Awesome decor! Cosmo World, in Yokohama, and also went to play pool! It was very interesting being the only non-Japanese in the bar. A truly different experience! And we spoke English for most of the time, but he is teaching me some Japanese, and it was fun hanging out with a local who knew the places. And who had a car - I hadn't been in a car for FOUR MONTHS! Not even a taxi! It was weird. My god, I miss driving, hahaha.
This weekend is the Halloween Party for work, so I'm getting dressed up and doing games and stories with little kids in costumes on Sunday. I'm actually excited for it - I think it'll be really fun! Plus, I get overtime. YEAH OVERTIME. Hahaha. So hopefully I'll have some pictures of that once it's done. I really haven't been taking many pictures since my weekends have been a lot of "die die die". But I want to go hiking to see the 紅葉 - autumn colors - and I have TWO places that I want to go and some coworkers who are interested, so hopefully there will be more pictures coming of the pretty leaves! None of
the trees have turned yet here; Tokyo gets it latest in Japan, along with Kyoto and the southern parts of Fukuoka. 😊
