Sunset clouds. Well, we made it through summer here. It was HOT. We went the entire month of August without any rain, and not a single day below 83 degrees (mostly it was in the 90's). Since the humidity here is just atrocious, this was a perilous journey so I am glad we are finally into September! The first three days of September were raining, marked with thunderstorms, and it was a WELCOME relief since it really cooled things down. The nights have finally been cool enough to go without my air-con and just leave my window open - which is nicer both for me AND my bank book.
Work is tiring me out, so most days I just come home and putter around my apartment for awhile before bed. And my weekends are largely spent at home, just relaxing. I'm hoping I get less tired as this goes on, because this sure is draining - these kids are cute, and all, but I'm really not thinking that teaching kids this young is on my life to-do list for much longer than this contract. It's just not the age I want to be teaching. I much prefer my adult lessons, where I

Dinner of champions! Eggs and veggies are super cheap, so it's largely what I've been living on. can get into more concepts and abstract things, and have good conversations. I've taken up yoga, a bit. I'm not good or anything, but I'm doing some simple stretch and strengthening routines, working on toning and centering, and hopefully helping my back pain. Stress is not a good look on me! I also watched all of Teen Wolf. It was terrible(ly awesome). I can't wait for the new season for my American shows to start so I can watch them from Japan, haha!
I did try to get some pictures recently, since I never really do anything. I FINALLY get paid next Monday, and hopefully this will help my desire to not do anything dissipate. It's hard to go anywhere when you are skint broke. I do have plans to go to Jimbocho next Tuesday, by myself, I think, to wander around the massive amount of bookstores they have there, and after that, my schedule gets really funky and I'm pulling some overtime and day shifts (whyyyyyy) and I have several friends visiting from America, so there are things to look forward to. That I will be able to finally afford, haha. All in all, I just hope the

I am also really into taking pictures of clouds. LOL not very interesting, probably. temperature starts going down so I'm not showing up to work every day looking like I just took a shower.
Been doing a lot of reading on my Kindle, which continues to be the greatest thing I own. Running a bit, too, coupled with all the walking I do on a daily basis. Man, I miss my car. Haha, never underestimate the convenience of being able to just drive somewhere. Once I get paid, I'm going to have to get a phone, which marks one of the last things I have to do upon "arrival" here. It's been sort of nice being off the grid, I have to admit. I'm virtually unreachable if I'm not on my computer, and part of me likes the disconnect. Ah, well, have to stop being a hermit eventually!
