Hi,.. I just want to corrected your photos posted,( Sumatera photos) (Rafflesia , we didn't to see a flowering specimin, but this plant produces the largest flowers in the world a meter i diameter) Correct: Is not Rafflesia, but it is Rhizanthes (Rafflesiaceae), because Rafflesia buds is larger than Rhizanthes.Both of them same family but different genera. when you want to look, the real of Rafflesia image, you can see www.rafflesia-in-bloom.blogspot.com (that is our reseach web-site about Rafflesia) May i know, where you get that photo's? for your photos Miningkabau show, Bukit Tinggi Correct: Minangkabau show, Bukit Tinggi regards, Ridha.

The photo of the bud was taken by myself outside a village just north of Bukit tinggi. A local lad offered to show us flowers, but they had all withered away, so we saw this instead.
