We saw some women digging up black sand which we assume is used for construction. This was how they got it out of the gorge.

Cooling off. This bathing area marked the end of the gorge trail. We took the adjacent stairs up to Sayan village.

While eating lunch we had a view of people walking up and down these stairs. Many carried water from the river back up their steps. Balinese women sure have strong necks!
