Delhi-Belly - or Jaipur-Belly strikes! What a write-off, no Amber fort for me, nor any Pink Palace...just the tiled monotony of a bathroom floor, and motillium, and immodium...and the world's greatest superfood Bananas!
And the sounds of Id-ul-Zuha the Muslim feast of Sacrifice being celebrated penetrate the marble walls...the commemoration of Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son to god. Strikingly similiar to the old testaments story of Abraham and his son...all westerners were warned to remain in their hotels after 4pm, and a mixture of firecrackers and the mosques call to prayer puncuated the night...luckily I hadn't planned on moving anyway...so all was right with the world!!
