AHMADABAD
16/3/10: We both had a great sleep and woke up with the paper waiting for us under the door. The predicted temp was 40C today so it was going to be tough to get a lot of sightseeing in. There’s not much to see in Ahmadabad and it’s basically another powering city. The food was cheap; we ate in the same restaurant that had a huge tree growing out through the roof. It also had old tombs that you had to walk around just to get to your table. We walk to the train station and bought to tickets to Udaipur that left at 11:00 that night. We filled in the rest of the day walking around the city coming across markets and a wedding. It was very hot so we chilled out in the restaurant for awhile until it was time to go to the train station. Our first tuk tuk we haled wanted triple the price to take us to the train station, it wasn't hard to find another that would do it for the local price. We hoped in and started to head in the wrong direction, we had to pull him over to find someone that

could speak English also asking him which direction he was trying to take us. By the end of it we had two dozen Indian spectators all standing around as our translator confirmed that we were going to the train station just a different one from which we bought the tickets. The tuk tuk driver was right and this was a first for us as they usually take you to the wrong place. I tipped him an extra 20rs just for the hassle. Our train had already arrived so we chose our beds and settle in for the night hoping to arrive safely in Udaipur tomorrow.
