Last night we had a treat of Odissi Temple Dance and Classical Music held inside the old Rangi Temple in Pushkar. The dance is for like a ballet. It is one of seven classical dance styles from India over 2000 yrs old originating in south India state of Orissa. The performance highlighted both nritta ( pure dance ) and Nritya ( storytelling Dance). We were brought to tears . Simply most amazing performance we ever witnessed.

I was able to film the performance, with some tops of heads from the audience. Only have these two still images. Since our camera broke, we rely on the Video camera to take both video and still. Did not want to cut the performance by stopping to take a foto.

Hopefully we will be able to share the whole performance with some of you when we get back.
