Jaisalmer

After a good nights sleep in a warm bed with a roof, we arose early for a walking tour around Jaisalmer. Our driver, Kalu, picked us up from our hotel after a hearty breakfast of cheese & tomato omelette, chips, toast and baked beans. A welcome break from curry!

We began the tour with a visit to a holy lake, followed by a brisk walk around the back streets of Jaisalmer, dodging the wandering animals as usual! We visited the old fort which had spectacular views of the city and again undertook the "looking is free" shopping experience.

The afternoon was spent relaxing in the hotel before an evening meal in a local italian. It feels like ages since we last had a curry!
