In search of peace @ Chilika

Hi guys,
Every time when i see Chilika lake while traveling in train it fascinates me. I was planning to explore Chilika for past few months and at last got an opportunity.
Had started my trip early morning via train from Berhampur to balugaon, as i had choosen Barakul as my entry way to Chilika lake. Train was at 7.35 am in berhampur ( yes its my early morning 😉 ) and i reached balugaon at 8:30 am. Had booked an auto for Panthanivas Barakul from Balugaon Railway station, its 7km from thr. (Nearest railway station is Chilika Station which is a passenger stoppage, Nearest Express stoppage is Balugaon railway station).
OTDC Panthanivas Barakul is a nice place, especially the ac cottages.I was very hungry so had taken breakfast in OTDC restaurant.
Thr is a boating complex in Panthanivas were u can book OTDC and private boats. OTDC boats are costlier, especially when u r a solo traveller. OTDC boat costs Rs 950 for a 5 seater speed fibre boat, so i had chosen next option that is private speed fibre boat which costs Rs 300 including life jacket (u can also bargain).
Now my chilika darshar starts.
Chilika is a paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers. There are many islands in chilika. Kalijaee, Nalabana bird sanctuary, Chadhei guha, satapada, King place, Honey moon island, sea mouth Rajahansa, Breakfast island, are the major tourist destination. chilika is a must visit place in odisha. I love the serenity of Chilika. A scenic lake were u can spend some time in peace. plenty of migratory bird arrives chilika in winter.. Apart from bird watching,if u are lucky enough u could spot a Dolphin.
I had choosen Kalijaee island as my destination as it is nearer from Barakul. It takes 30 minutes to reach Kalijaee. u can explore the island. U can see many species of birds there.
By 12.30 i was in chilika station to catch a passenger train.
Note- Best Restaurant is Chilika dhaba. U should try prawn there. ( 1km from Panthanivas)
Panthanivas restaurant was also quite satisfactory..
nearest bus stand is Chilika dhaba stop.
