Sightseeing in New Delhi

During our last day in India we decided to join a bus sightseeing tour around Delhi. That was a very good idea since we managed to visit quite a large number of sights. Like in the Taj Mahal, precious and semiprecious stones were used to decorate the white marble.

After seeing the Taj at sunrise, it was time to see it's early predecessor, the Humayun's Tomb at sunset.

This tomb closely resembles the Taj, however, in contrast to the Taj this tomb was build in the mid-16th century by a Mughal empress to commemorate her husband the Mughal emperor Humayun.
