We went this morning to Akshardham, a newly-built temple on the outskirts of Delhi. It's vast, and has been built entirely through charitable donations. It seems strange to find a building like this with the plaster still wet- stranger still that it has parking for 10,000 and an Imax theatre in an adjoining building!

We visited the National Museum of India in the afternoon- interesting, but in need of a serious once-over with the dustbuster. Touring round Delhi in the evening, we were involved in our first traffic accident- one of the rear wheels came off our rickshaw. I can report that rickshaws travel more slowly with only two wheels; the ride quality is unaffected.

Early train to Amritsar tomorrow.

What, no Taj ?
Come on guys ! You haven't mentioned heading to Agra to see the Taj Mahal yet ? Don't miss it ! Heading to Amritsar sounds like a certain Satvinder may have been influencing your decisions! Enjoy the subcontinent. It's a place nobody ever forgets.

Great!
Hi Linda and Steve Fantastic that you have arrived and seem to be enjoying it - already experiencing the joys and pitfalls of rickshaws - hope you were ok?! The temple photo looks amazing - a far cry from the view of my monitor and the brick wall, behind where you once sat! Well keep having a great time, have many adventures and keep us all updated!
