See ya in 6 months!
Hello Everyone,

We've just arrived in India last night after a 40 hour journey...can't tell you how happy we are to get off the those damn planes....Singapore airlines is awesome though.....Izabela loved the dresses. We've seen about 20 movies in the last couple of days, played some super mario and waited around at 3 different cities.

But nothing would have prepared us for what we were about to experience and see when we got out of the New Delhi airport. OH MY GOD!! The smell, the congestion, the traffic...the hordes of people and cows and goat (no sheep though) on the road with the cars. There are lines on the road, but they mean absolutely nothing as cars weave from left to right without signaling and motorcyclists cut across 4 lanes in a second. We (or at least Izabela ) thought we were going to die. The lines resembled 2 lanes, yet the motorists seem to expand and add one on each side, as cars drive inches from each other. We just had to remind each other that our driver drives in this shit all the time. SCARY. People/families are jammed packed into these tiny cars as well...seatbelts...as

if. Babies sit on mothers’ laps, children piled on top of one another with at least 8 people jammed in there.

Then after the crazy life-defining drive to our hotel....we get to the main street in this nutty district of Delhi and find ourselves amidst chaos....dodging cows, people, seeing homeless in homemade canvas tents like Vancouver has never seen it, people roasting cashews...and more.

Our hotel room is in an alley off the main road in a little crack in the wall. For $9 a night...it's actually decent. The bathroom is tiny as hell and the shower is the bathroom itself. Where you go pee you also shower with no obstruction between the toilet and the shower area. Breakfast was good and here we are typing after meeting some backpackers…one who is from Victoria.
Happy Time!
We hope everyone is doing well, and we'll post another email as soon as we get outside and see some of this crazy city in the day light. I'm scared.
Take care, love always,

Izabela and Kris
